Suvarnabhumi Buddhist Transformation Project

The Sangha meeting on the topic of the discussion “Buddhism Transforms Suvarnabhumi, Unity of Dharma, Land of Dharma, Land of Gold” The Sangha of 5 ASEAN countries, consisting of Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, participated in the discussion “Buddhism Transforms Suvarnabhumi: Unity of Dharma, Land of Dharma, Land of Gold” organized by BodhigayaVijjalaya 980 Institute and the Viraphuchong Foundation at Sopitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf Spa Resort, Siem Reap Province, Cambodia.

The objective is to strengthen, go back, awaken the ideology, observe the work of the noble monks, and continue the Buddhist aspiration. Throughout the past 6 years, the aim of organizing the project is to benefit the monks who participate in the project, to create deep faith, increase knowledge, increase perspectives, create beautiful behaviors that connect with the world society and practice Dhamma in real places until faith can bring knowledge that increases with more understanding back to develop Thai society, causing changes to a peaceful society and aiming to connect the religious dimension to the development of the spread of Buddhism.

Venerable Dr. Phra Maha Phong Samalek, abbot of Wat Ong Tue, and president of the Lao People's Democratic Republic's Center for Buddhist Relations, delivered a congratulatory speech and opened the event. His Holiness Sayadaw Ku Mara Bhivamsa, the Supreme Patriarch of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, delivered a congratulatory speech. Most Ven. Dr. Thich Thien Tam, Vice President of Executive Council Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS), Abbot of Pho Minh Pagoda, Vice President of the Sangha Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, delivered a congratulatory speech. Phra Dhammaworanayok, Chairman of the Project to Promote Monks to Study and Practice Dhamma in Deep Dhamma in the Land of Buddha, Advisor to the Provincial Sangha Chief of Nakhon Ratchasima, delivered a congratulatory speech. Phra Thep Bodhi Vithes delivered a congratulatory speech.
