Project to promote monks to study and practice Dhamma in depth in the land of Buddha, India - Nepal, 4th generation
In 2012, the project to promote monks to study and practice Dhamma in depth in the land of Buddha, India-Nepal, batch 4, was another special year.
First, BodhigayaVijjalaya 980 Institute received the kindness of His Holiness Somdej Phra Buddhachinnawong, the Supreme Patriarch of the Central Region, the abbot of Wat Phichit Yatikaram Worawihan, to send Vipassana teachers to join the project and lead meditation practice throughout the project, which is in line with the objectives of the Buddhist Studies curriculum. The institute aims to see Bodhigaya Dharma Missionaries gain knowledge of theory and practice until they attain enlightenment, understand the teachings of the Lord Buddha, and apply them, tell methods, and guide Buddhists in their practice. They can also use current events to answer the question of how Buddhists should behave and be able to apply the principles of Buddhism to solve suffering, solve conflicts, and solve inauspicious things or things that are not beneficial to Buddhists.
Later, the institute changed its name to the Project to Promote Monks to Study and Practice Dhamma in Deep Dhamma in the Land of Buddha, India-Nepal, by removing the word “Thai” and opening for monks in the Mekong Basin countries to join the training as well, with the aim of strengthening relations with neighboring Buddhist countries in the Mekong Basin. On this occasion, we received the gracious kindness of His Holiness Somdet Phra Akkaramahasangkhathibodi Devawong, the Supreme Patriarch of the Kingdom of Cambodia, who graciously selected 3 Cambodian monks to join the project.
