Phra Yod Thong Dhamma Vijaya Ratana Puchong Leads the Dhamma Army to Turn the Wheel of Dhamma for All Humanity Worldwide

Most Venerable Somdet Phra Maha Ratchamongkhonmuni, also known as Most Venerable Somdet Thongchai, the Chief Superintendent of the Central Ecclesiastical Region, Member of the Sangha Supreme Council, and Assistant Abbot of Wat Traimitr Vithayaram Voravihan, graciously bestowed the name "Phra Yod Thong Dhamma Vijaya Ratana Puchong". On April 13, 2026, Most Venerable Somdet Thongchai kindly consecrated the sacred materials, including the Nopha Sun (pagoda top the metal spire enshrined at the top of a prang). These metal fragments were then melted down and forged into the Phra Yod Thong Dhamma Vijaya Ratana Puchong amulets.
Phra Yod Thong Dhamma Vijaya Ratana Puchong is a specific name that combines three auspicious terms:
- Phra Yod Thong (The vanguard amulet): In ancient times, the Buddha statue Yod Thong was a classic amulet created to boost the morale and spirit of the army. Its distinctive feature is a protruding pin used to attach it to the top of the army's flag during battle, serving as an auspicious symbol to ensure victory in war. The artistic style of the Buddha image created for this edition is Phra Buddha Sihing Yod Thong.
- Dhamma Vijaya: Signifies victory through Dhamma, or a noble victory free from enmity and danger.
- Ratana Puchong: Signifies a connection to the Naga (serpent deity) or the Naga lineage. There are four Naga families, and the Phaya Puchong Nakharat (Puchong Naga King) belongs to the Virupakkha family, which is believed to possess the power to grant fortune, protect wealth, and ward off water-related disasters or general perils.
Overall Auspicious Qualities (Phutthakhun): Focuses on authority, protection from harm, removal of obstacles, and bringing success in one's career and duties.
On April 16, 2026, a holy water sprinkling ceremony (Rot Nam Mon Thorani San) was held to purify the sacred materials for auspiciousness. This ceremony blessed 888 of the total 5,000 Phra Yot Thong Dhamma Vijaya Ratana Puchong amulets. The event was presided over by Dr. Vinai Verapuchong, President of the Virabhuchong Foundation, who was joined by Dr. Supachai Verapuchong, Secretary-General of the Bodhigayavijjalaya 980 Institute, the Verapuchong family, and the executive committee of the Bodhigayavijjalaya 980 Institute. The creation of these 5,000 amulets also commemorates the 50th anniversary of Thai Nakorn Patana Co., Ltd. Therefore, the Phra Yod Thong Dhamma Vijaya Ratana Puchong serves as an auspicious symbol for unifying the Dhamma Army to collectively turn the Wheel of Dhamma for humanity worldwide.
In the year 2026, the Bodhigayavijjalaya 980 Institute (BGVI) will continuously drive international initiatives by organizing the "Universal of Dhamma" research project in collaboration with the Dhamma Alliance and the University for Peace in Geneva. This project will mobilize scholars, thinkers, and philosophers from all professional fields across every continent to conduct joint research on the topic of Ancient Beliefs from 2,000 Years Ago.
The Universal of Dhamma research project consists of five strategic pillars: Education, Health and Well-being, Environment, Trade/Business and Economics, as well as Human Rights and the Will for Peace. The research findings will be presented on the global stage, starting with the United Nations (UN) and other international platforms in all contexts. The primary goals are to use Dhamma as power and to proclaim a New World Order.

Another significant activity is the organization of World Meditation Day from October 11-15, 2026, in Krabi Province. This is part of the World Meditation Day events that the United Nations announces to be held annually in December. Krabi Province is also one of the four provinces in Thailand where the holy relics of the Lord Buddha and his two chief disciples were temporarily enshrined in March 2024. Furthermore, Krabi is a province where Buddhists and Muslims live together in harmony. Prior to this, on December 20, 2025, Ubon Ratchathani Province and its network partners organized a World Meditation Day event under the project Ubon Ratchathani: City of Dhamma, City of Meditation at Wat Phra That Nong Bua, Ubon Ratchathani. The activity was attended by over 400 citizens, students, and interested individuals.
