This meeting marks a shift from the typical venue in Geneva to highlight Dharmic and indigenous perspectives and broaden the diversity of participants and discussion themes within the “Faith for Rights” framework. The overall objective is to bring global standard-setting mechanisms out of the usual ‘centers’ of global governance and highlight Asian experiences and insights.

The 4th SAMVAD

The 4th SAMVAD Conference, under the theme “The Asian Century of Dhamma-Dharma”, is being held for the first time in Thailand. This event highlights the significant role of the Asian region as a leader in the new global era. It aims to integrate ancient teachings and philosophies of Dhamma-Dharma as guiding principles in building a world founded on humanitarianism, compassion, and sustainability for the future. The conference also emphasizes its apolitical nature.

Dhamma Century Cup

This football match, organized to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Cambodia, reflects the commitment of both countries to further strengthening our friendship. Football, a sport beloved by the people of both nations, serves as a medium through which the Thai government intends to collaborate closely with the Cambodian government. It unites the public and private sectors, as well as the citizens of both countries, into a single team to promote peace, prosperity, and the well-being of the Thai and Cambodian people, guided by the Lord Buddha's principle of Samakkhidhamma (unity and harmony). Personally, I believe that the goal of the Bodhigaya 980 Institute in supporting the Thai and Cambodian governments to host this important event today will foster closer ties between the people of the two nations, particularly among the new generation of youth."
