On Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the ordination hall (Ubosot) of Wat Mahathat Yuwaratrangsarit, Bangkok, Dr. Supachai Verapuchong, Secretary-General of the Bodhigaya Vijjalaya 980 Institute , led a delegation of advisors and board members of the institute to respectfully pay homage and express felicitations to Phra Phrom Wachirapothiwong on the auspicious occasion that His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn (King Rama X of Thailand) graciously appointed General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Privy Councillor, as His Majesty’s representative to present the Hiranyabat (gold-edged rank document), the ceremonial fan, and the insignia associated with the conferment of the ecclesiastical rank of Deputy Chief Patriarch to the Venerable Phra Phrom Vajirabodhivongsa (Dr. Weerayut Weerayutho), Abbot of Wat Thai Buddhagaya and Head of the Dhammaduta Missionary Monks to India and Nepal.
Additionally, the Royal Representative presented ecclesiastical certificates, ceremonial fans, and rank insignia to seven other monks who were either newly elevated in ecclesiastical rank or newly appointed to the Sangha hierarchy by Royal Decree.
